Back in the saddle again....

Well I'm back in Quincy. It was a great trip back home to Indiana.

On Thanksgiving, my parents and brother Mike, joined Letha and I as we went to her cousin's house near Hamilton South Eastern and had a Thanksgiving feast with members of Letha's family. Overall, it was probably 20 people all together. This was the first time Letha's family and mine met. It went great overall.

Then I had my annual Shane M. White poker night. I was first out at the tables, this didn't make me happy. But I did get to play the New Nintendo Wii. This gaming system is awesome, it's all controlled by a wirless controller that's movement based. I think I enjoyed bowling the best, because it was most life like. Depending on when you release the ball, how your hand moves at the beginning or the end of your throw, it all affects the ball's movement.

Then we did our insane go to Best Buy and stand in a long line and freeze, actually it wasn't that cold this year. Then we hit Circuit City and McDonalds before going home. I fell asleep at 7am. I turned off the phone so not to be disturbed and then was woken up by electric hedge trimmers at 9 am, or so I thought. Cause I was still really tired it had to be only a couple of hours, so when I looked at my phone, it was 2:30 PM! How I had gotten seven hours of sleep and felt like it was only 2 hours is beyond me.

Then we had a good night at the tree lighting and hanging out afterwards.

Our last day was a quick one. We saw a movie, had lunch with Letha's Mom (thanks Mom), and then did some shopping, and then got to the airport to fly back.

It was a great trip and maybe if I'm lucky we can get a less hectic visit next time.

Since then it has been business as usual. Lots of work...playing a lot of Halo 2 online.

Till next time...

I promised a while ago...

to post pictures of the house I live in.

Sooooo....here you go.

Hello...

Lee and Laura had a whirlwind tour of the East Coast. Now, I'm coming home for a VERY brief couple of days. I fly in on Thanksgiving and I'm trying to do too much...I swear one of these days a trip back home isn't going to be 20 things compacted into 3 days. Maybe the two weeks when I'm off to get married in October next year we shall see. Anyways, Letha is coming here in a couple of hours, and we have a lot to do these next 10 days, so I was writing to tell anyone who's interested that I will not be blogging for the next little while. Not that this comes to you as a surprise, since I don't write a whole lot (which I'm trying to change), but that's my reason. I hope to have lots of fun stories I can put on here when I next return.

As my boy Brandon White use to say, and might still (I haven't seen him in years)...

Peace Outtie!!!

What?!?!

Okay so I realize that I hadn't blogged in a while, but you guys are happy about the fact that I blogged about my car being vandalized...(see comments from my last blog)

No, sorry to hear about your misfortune(thanks Shane and Letha), or man that sucks.

By the way, I had to take public transportation yesterday to go to work (which I will elaborate on later), because the jackoffs that were suppose to fix my windshields couldn't until this morning. So more rain has emptied in to the back of my car, and perhaps causing major water damage. Thanks Safelite! When I checked my trunk it was soaked, so I'm gonna have to use the Shop Vac from work to clean up the car a little on Wednesday. They replaced both windshields today in about 45 minutes. Total cost was $756, of which I only paid $500 thanks to my insurance. I found out that in the state of Massachusetts that auto glass has a $0 deductible, my guess was they had enough of people complaining about chipped glass from dump trucks and such.

So the ONLY good thing to come out of this situation is the fact that when the weather is good and I'm not closing, I'm going to use public transit. It's a nice walk to work from the T (the transit system out here). Help out the environment, put less miles on my car, and walk my fatass around a little bit.

TTFN!

As if my day wasn't bad enough...

After getting to watch the Patriots lose to the JETS!!!!!

I got ready to go to work, and went to find my front windshield cracked. There was a huge glass goblet that someone decided to throw at my car. Then I came in and called the cops. They gave me a number...a number for claims. Then I decided to take pictures of the spider web that is my windshield. Walked around the back side to find...my back windshield missing a HUGE chunk. So I open up my car to check and see if anything was stolen from the car. Nope...but it had been a while since my backseat was soaked from the rain.

The only thing that makes ANY sense is my Indiana license plate after the Patriots lost two games in a row. I could see some drunk dumbass blaming it on anyone from Indiana. Then I wanted to blame it on all Patriots' fans. Then I remembered why I never put ANY Patriots gear on my car while living in Indiana, cause I thought this kind of stuff would happen to my car. Then it's because I haven't switched plates fast enough.

Oh well...that's what you get insurance for right?

Life is good...somewhat!

Actually the only low point recently was being in the stadium watching the Patriots lose to the Colts, but more on that in a second.

So the last week has been a blessing, my best friend and his wife came out for the game and some hanging out time. They landed on Saturday and while I was working Letha took them around Boston. They walked from the Aquarium to Southe Boston and then back to Cambridge. All in all I would guess about 7-10 miles worth of hoofing it. Then I got off work and we had a few beers at Tommy Doyle's Pub near my work. They had this amazing Pumpkin Beer. I swear it tasted like I was drinking a beer and eating a piece of pumpkin pie at the same time, it was delicious.

Then we headed home to get ready for the night, my roomate Erin was gonna show us a good time in Downtown Boston. So we hopped the T (subway) and headed to Legal Sea Foods, some amazing food. If you don't mind spending around $40 a person with one alcoholic drink. Then we headed in to the party district and went to Hennessy's (Boston's Best Irish Pub, according to the banner across the front of it). Good time, the band playing that night knew the crowd they were playing to, as it seemed everyone who went to college then came here to party. Then made it home and crashed.

Then came Sunday. We woke up and had lunch with my brother, his wife, my niece and nephew at Friendly's (imagine Denny's with slightly better food and AMAZING ice cream).

Then we packed up the car with all the materials needed for good tailgating. On to the game. What should have been a 15-20 ride was a 45 minute one because everyone heading to the game seemed to be tailgating. We got to park in the parking lot at Gillette Stadium (which according to my brother, fills up rather quickly). So there we are dressed in our gear (Me in Pats gear and Lee, Laura, and Letha all in Colts stuff). I was amazed they didn't get more shit that night. I got it way worse when I was in the Bronx watching the Red Sox. Then we went in and I was just in awe.

This stadium is amazing, most likely because it's only 4 years old. I just sat there feeling surreal. I've been to Pats games before but they were ALL in the RCA Dome. This was the best sporting event I've ever been to. It was amazing to be in a stadium more lively than Fenway, we stood for 96% of the game. We were yelling at every play on either side of the ball. I will have to say that Colts fan are lucky they're in a dome. Because there is nothing like not being able to hear the person talking to you due to the crowd noise, but I would like to see what happens in an open aired stadium. I was absolutely devistated at the end of the game, but to be that close to the Colts after 5 turnovers and without Rodney Harrison I'm waiting to see them in the playoffs and the dome has never intimitated us. If we can get Brady to show up in the BIG games again then I still take him over Peyton anyday. It's no secret that our last 3 losses, including last year's playoffs, have been at the hand of good ol' Tommy Boy. It's like he just now decided to get what Peyton has had for many years. Great game to be at if I were just a football fan, an okay game to be at if you're a Pats fan. But it is a game I will never forget being able to watch it with the people I got to.

The next day we headed down to New York City to get Letha home and to show our guests an amazing last day. We first headed to Battery Park so we could see the Statue of Liberty from the Southern most tip of Manhattan.

Then we walked to Ground Zero and saw the constuction that is taking place. They also had pictures from different parts of the tragedy as well as a time line from 9/11. While standing there I got chills and starting welling up seeing the pictures and remembering that day.

So from there we headed to Times Square, we had to wait until night, which right now is like 5:30. Because who wants to see Times Square in the daytime (unless you're name is Shane)? From there we headed to Grand Central Station then to Rockefeller Center and ice skated.

It was cool and expensive. I can't remember the last time I spent $22 so I could do something for an hour an a half. I'm sure I have but I can't remember the last time I did. Then Letha stayed while the rest of us packed up the car and drove back. We got home at 2 a.m. The next morning marked the end of the whirlwind tour for Lee and Laura, as I dropped them off before heading off to work. Till next time… enjoy some pics from the weekend.

What's going on!!!!

Okay, okay, I haven’t been keeping up with these blogs, I know this.

But in my defense I have been non-stop moving since I started moving into my place. So let’s look at what’s happened lately (WARNING: This blog is going to be unusually long for me, but not as long as if I were Shane!!!!).

So as you know, I got the place I REALLY wanted (I live in Quincy, MA) with two girls in a fantastical house, pics will be available soon. I moved what I had into the house the night before going back to Indy. I got into Indy and surprised some people by showing up early and had a party. Then Letha’s mom took us out on her boat because it was my best friend’s (Lee) wife’s (Laura) birthday. So we spent the day tubing around a lake and getting thrown off at 35 M.P.H. Thank you again Dawn and Richard. We had a picnic and then hung out in the hot tub when we got back.

The next big thing was a party on Thursday night. We played Ultimate Frisbee and had lots of drinks. Good times hanging out with lots of people. Then Friday came and we had 12 people show up at Lee’s for a fun night of poker, while Letha was doing Maid-of-honor type stuff in Muncie. I busted out after making the final table because of a boneheaded bet on my part, oh well…

On Saturday I got the U-Haul and packed a lot of stuff up and then picked up Letha from a baby shower. We then drove up to Muncie for Deb and Jason’s wedding (friends of Letha’s from college). Nice wedding, it was at Ball State, and then we went to the reception which was a lot of fun. I got to meet more of Letha’s friends, and then we crashed in the Jacuzzi suite.

Then Sunday came. I don’t recommend to anyone to do the following! We woke up around 10, left at 11, got back to Indy, finished packing the U-Haul at 4 p.m., then got on the road (Letha had to be at work at 8:15 a.m. in New York). While driving thru Ohio got nabbed for doing 89 M.P.H. on the highway, nice cop gave me just a warning. Also, he only wrote down the information of the truck. Nothing from my license, which rocks cause it won’t effect my driving record. So Letha and I originally intended to switch off driving shifts, that didn’t work, not that it was her fault. But the truck I got was kind of big and a bitch to drive in the daylight. It got a whole lot worse at night, and she hadn’t driven it all, so I decided that I would drive the whole twelve hours myself. BIG MISTAKE!!!! I didn’t get tired until 2 a.m., so I bought a couple energy drinks. Well to give some history…I stopped drinking soda 4 years ago, I mainly stick to water. So when I started driving near New York City, tired as hell, with tons of caffeine and sugar, and the adrenaline pumping (because of the idiot drivers there) I start shaking and all of a sudden felt like I did a Century Club. I unpacked Letha and left her at 6 a.m., after she asked me to wait until I could stand without almost falling over, to which I had to refuse. If I had stopped, I would have passed out and been blocking 144th St. with the U-Haul, until most likely around 2 p.m., so I drove out of the city before traffic got really bad and made it to Connecticut before passing out in the cab. But everything worked out fine, I slept for 4 hours then drove the rest of the way. My roommate Erin helped me unload the truck for the most part. Then I passed out for a while.

Then I went back to Indy two weeks later for another wedding, Zach and Jenny’s. I rode the Chinatown bus (Lucky Star rocks, $15 got me to NYC in 4 hours). Then Letha and I flew out of NYC together. We got in and after some crap at the airport partied over at Justin and Fallon’s for a while. Then we spent some time with Letha’s family (Ever seen 4 year-olds playing soccer? It is quite the site) before getting ready for the wedding. Zach and Jenny got married outside in Franklin really close to Franklin College, it was a nice set up. Then we partied again after the reception at Justin and Fallon’s. We said our goodbyes and then we turn in our car and guess what…our flight was cancelled. After finding out a rental car for 12 hours costs $91 dollars we called Shane. He was nice enough to come and pick us up. We went bowling then crashed at my parents house again. Then Letha’s dad had to pick us up at 5:30 in the morning!!!!! Thank you again sir. Flew back to NYC and I crashed at Letha’s, while she went to work, then I got on the 10 p.m. Chinatown bus back to Boston. Then my lovely roommate Jesica picked me up, so I didn’t have to spend $40 on a cab. Thanks roomie!!!

Then three days later Shane picked up Letha on his way to my place. Shane showed up and has been spending a bunch of time with my brothers (Mike got here the day after Shane and left this past Saturday), Letha and me. We celebrated my niece’s birthday on the 3rd. I got to watch BEERFEST with both brothers, Letha, and Shane, it was great! Since then, I’ve jut been trying to entertain Shane and keep him busy.

Football season started this past week and I have to say I’m quite excited, but then I’m always excited about football season. My Patriots won, not by much, but it’s still a W. Our defense looked better than our offense, but I was watching Monday Night Football and one of the commentators made the comment, “The defense is more prepared than the offense in week one.” We also traded away our #1 receiver the other day to the Seattle Seahawks for a 1st round draft pick, not something I was hoping for, but it seems everyone’s happier for it. Hey this is how the game is played now, oh well.

On another sports note, my Red Sox are not where I’d hope they’d be in the middle of September. But I do have one high note, the game on September 9th. This was my first time being in Fenway Park since I was 13. My Uncle Dutch had some extra seats and I was lucky enough to occupy those seats with my friend Shane. So we start out in the Crown Royal Club, which is just fancy talk for not allowed in unless you spent a whole lot of money on your seats. It’s a nice little place that looks and feels like a country club to me. Then we went in a private entrance to the park and took an elevator up to the EMC club. Another country club kind of atmosphere with really good food, and a great view of the park, I would have taken pictures but I didn’t want to seem TO out of place. Then we went to our seats, front row of the most expensive seats in the park, right behind home plate. Watch the game played in front of us then reenacted on the 5in. TVs in front of us. Now I don’t want to give out the idea that I didn’t enjoy myself, but it wasn’t like the experiences I’ve ever had before or will ever have again most likely. I was telling Shane afterwards that it was cool and nice and very high-end, but that wasn’t watching a baseball game at Fenway. I’ve been to the Bronx 3 times (thanks baby) this year and every time there felt like a baseball game, I’m there talking to the people next to us and getting the real atmosphere of the game. I felt like I had to be on my BEST behavior every time I was doing something. I was worried about making my aunt and uncle look bad. I know I was out of my element that night, as could be told by my apparel (I was wearing a Papelbon T-shirt, jeans, and my new Red Sox jacket). Again, I would like to thank Dutch and Addie for allowing me the opportunity to watch the game from those seats.

That was the last exciting thing I’ve done recently. I’ve been working a lot, trying to get things ready for our busiest season of the year. I won’t promise that I’ll blog more, I’ll just say I’m gonna try to do it more often.

Till next time….

New Stuff...

So I have been up to a whole lot recently. I moved into my new place, went home and had an awesome time, and I've been working a bunch. But I'm coming home again this weekend to see one of my friends get married. I know it's been forever, but I promise that I will do a big post with a bunch of pics soon, after the trip to Indy.

Hope you can all wait a while longer.

And the answer is....

YES! I now have a place to live. I'll be living in Quincy, MA. It's about half an hour south of Boston. I have found a place that is a four story house divided into a apartment building on each floor and the basement is for storage. Now, from what I have seen, it's a beautiful spacious three bedroom (on the 1st floor), with huge rooms (living, dining, kitchen), it has a washer and dryer in the building, and an awesome patio on the side of the house over looking the street. I will be living with two girls (Jessica and Erin, YES, Letha knows about them, and YES, she's okay with me living there). I am to meet with the girls on Sunday and discuss what furniture we need and house rules. It is very much like a college house. It has us three on the first floor, three guys on the second floor, and two girls on the top floor (hey, it's a guy sandwich...wait a minute...that means I'm on the bottom of three guys...okay scratch previous statement). Cable is already installed (thank god, SPORTSCENTER and THE LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN will be back in my life, after a two month absence). Erin is bringing a big screen TV (to which I'm thinking we hook up my surround sound set), and I'll have all of my stuff in my room. Jessica has warned us that the house likes to party (the house gets up and beak dances after a few too many tequila shots), as in when one floor throws one a lot of the time the whole house ends up throwing one, like I said it'll be like I'm in college. I'm syked to move in two and a half weeks. I can start moving in my stuff now, but not to over crowd my grandparents, I didn't bring a whole lot with me, so I don't really see the point of leaving a few boxes here and there. I'll just get all of the stuff from my grandparents all at once.

That's all for now, had a lazy day. Imported all of my CDs that I have here into my computer. Then did 2 miles, now I'm tired and going to watch a DVD.

Till next time...

Waiting...

no I'm not talking about the movie starring Ryan Reynolds. I'm talking about me sittting back and finding out about the place I want to live. I should find out in the next couple of days...so let's keep our fingers crossed for good ol'Jason. I could use the good luck, as this blog will tell you soon.

Couple of things I'm thinking about right now...why is it that I have so little time when I go back to Indy for the first time? Letha warned me about trying to make too many plans when I need to pack up all of my things. I'm trying to be positive about it and thinking it won't take too long. But I want to see a bunch of my friends...

My father and I always discussed how a car can't have a name until it has some character...

And a car can't have character if it looks like every other car of the same make and model, it has to have distinguishing characteristics. Well Dad, you'd be proud to know my car now has a name...

BRUTUS

There is a reason I have decided to name him Brutus. In my opinion the version of the Chevy Impala that I have has a MEAN look to the front of it. Like it's just waiting to spring into action, which is one of the reasons why I like the car so much. But now it looks like it's eye brows are raised and is growling at you, as if he's a mean guard dog. And right now, he's pissed. What did I do to cause this effect you might ask?

I hit a flat-bed transportation truck on the way to work the other day, just barely, but I still hit it. I had my foot off both the gas and break, creeping towards a red light, when I got distracted by a building (I know...as Letha put it on MySpace, maybe I should have been distracted by a hot woman instead). My brain went on cruise control for a couple of seconds and then I heard KKKRRRRUUUUNNNNNNNNCCCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Both drivers were fine, the truck wasn't damaged as I went under the rear bumber. If it had been a regular vehicle, I would have tapped it with no damage to either auto. But as it stands, it buckled my hood, scratched my bumber, and broke a headlight. The good news it's all cosmetic damage, so it's still drivable. Bad news is I can't open the hood so I can't do all the regular stuff, like checking my oil level. So I have to figure out how to get it fixed and soon.

So Brutus felt like he had to bite the ass of the truck and now I'm paying for it. But at least I know he's trying to protect his master.

I've included some pics for your savage amusement. Go ahead and laugh, I've already cried about it (internally of course).

The Internet is back...

So, I got back the connection that I thought I'd lost. So I'm excited about that. But there are some things I'm not so excited about...

It doesn't look like the premiere of CRAZY ABOUT YOU is going to happen, which sucks but that's what happens when I drop the ball and don't get the rough cut done before I moved out here to Boston.

I have to get new plates for my car, which seems like it's going to be a BIG hassle.

The fact that the RED SOX can go on a 12 winning streak and then lose 3 of 4 to the DEVIL RAYS? What the F?

But hey there are some things to be excited about...

Shane pointed out a trailer for HOLLYWOODLAND, looks really good. But there are some other trailers that have gotten pretty excited about films coming out:

THE GROOMSMAN - A movie about guys that won't make any money, but looks like a good story and I like most of the actors in it.

TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE BEGINNING - So I REALLY liked the remake and was REALLY bored watching the original, but this prequel looks good. It's not hard to make a good horror flick, hope this team pulls it off again.

THE LADY IN THE WATER - I am one of a hand full of people that enjoyed watching THE VILLAGE, so much that I bought it. I enjoy M. Night's movies and should be entertained here. Plus Paul Giamatti is in it, and he's always good(underrated performance in CINDERELLA MAN).

CLERKS 2 - Never seen a Kevin Smith movie I didn't like. Bring on the hillarious stupid jokes that made him what he is today.

MY SUPER EX-GIRLFRIEND - Who's never thought of their ex as someone that has super powers, mostly to drive you nuts...looks like a good time for either male or female.

THE ZODIAC - Looks like a freaky movie about a serial killer, based on a true story, even the preview freaks me out.

SPIDER-MAN 3 - Looks like Sam Raimi is doing for these movies what Bendis does for the Ultimate line of this character...JUST ROCK IT OUT! Wow, it looks like it'll deliver everthing we want and more.

TRANSFORMERS - What the hell, I'm all excited and then the teaser announcement trailer is absolute crap, doesn't make any sense to me. I ust want to know, do we get to see the classic line of Autobots and Decipticons? Maybe I'll get reallt excited once I can see a real teaser trailer.

THE QUIET - Another freaky movie but this time has Elisha Cuthbert playing the creepy role.

On another note I have made the time to see a few movies lately:

CLICK - exactly what you think it would be, but funny and good for the family

FAST & THE FURIOUS: TOKYO DRIFT - better than the 2nd one, still no where near the first

CARS - great visual effects for an okay story about redemption

SUPERMAN RETURNS - good movie, a little long in some places, wish Singer would have done X3 instead

SCANNER DARKLY - fell asleep with half an hour to go, very dialogue heavy

So here's some pics from Cape Cod:

Stuff...

Hey everybody,

Not that I'm sure anyone wants to read this, but there are some really good things about living here...

First, I'm getting to know my grandparents (which at times is hard, because I realized that I AM GRANDMA'S BOY) and I am forced to learn a new part of the country, new state, new city, and new towns.

But what I'm really happy about is the fact that I've dropped 15 lbs. since moving out here. The greatest part is I haven't done any sort of working out. I think it helps that I'm trying not to eat fast food all the time, that I eat three meals a day (usually), and one of those is usually with the grandparents (they eat very reasonable). Who knows maybe I should convince them to let me stay here until next year and go join the gym, then I could start my journey to getting the "V" cut.

Okay enough from me today....

Apartment HUNTING!!!

So I have now joined all the other people in big cities in the very hard task of finding a place to hang my hat. Granted I only looked at one place, but if this is the kind of stuff I have to look towards I think I will enjoy moving farther away and commuting each day.

The girl who answered the door was a cute petite brunnette, about my height, and a nose ring. My first thought was, "Shane would LOVE this girl!" She took me around the apartment(really a house, that had been seperated) and showed me the two rooms that are available. She also showed me the basement and the attic (trying to sell me on amble storage space). Then I met her roommate Andrew, both seemed excited about the fact that they would be able to see free movies if I lived there. Everyone is always looking for free movies from us movie theatre workers (can I get an AMEN?). But unfortunately I was unimpressed overall, there just wasn't a clean feeling thru most of the house(the basement smelled infected with mold), so I'm most likely looking elsewhere. Nice first experience to have looking for a place as far as the two renting out the rooms.

My brother is moving out here next week. He's gonna live with our uncle until his family follows him in 6 weeks. Exciting stuff, my sister-in-law has an interview at Boston's Children Hospital. Also, my girl is coming to see me in a week. I plan on taking her to Cape Cod and spend a couple of days laying on the beach and relaxing in Welfleet (it's near the end of the hook of Cape Cod).

It's really beautiful out here. I think it's weird that there are tond more trees here than in Indy or even 30 minutes out of the city. I finally know what everyone is talking about Indiana is FLAT! Now don't get me wrong, I love and miss what I think I'll consider my hometown for the rest of my life(which I never did when I lived there, see what distance will do to you), but there are tons of hills and lakes all around the place out here. If you come to visit me, you'll see what I mean.

Thanks for reading to my rant for the day. I have the next two days off so I will be catching up on sleep and doing some more apartment hunting. So until next time...

LOST...

So there I was leaving work a little early, I finished up all my work, so I decided to go to the local mall and treat myself to a little spending at Best Buy. Now my friend Dione warned me not to go out and spend money on myself to make me feel good, so I didn't. I used a reward zone certificate and what was left of my gift card from the Keystone management crew to buy a couple of CDs.

That's not where the fun started. So when I left the mall (which if you listen to Dane Cook, I was at the Galleria!!!!) I asked for directions (yes, I can ask for directions) and went the way I thought I was suppose to go...
then I was in West Boston, which meant I crossed a bridge and didn't even know it. So again I had to ask for directions. After doing an illegal u-turn (in front of a Police Officer) I found another person who directed me, correctly this time, to where I wanted to go. I really want to explore this city, but I hate doing it alone.

I have this weird seperation issue. I like having people around, hence why I spend so much time on the phone, so I get panicked if I'm by myself and get lost. Which is weird because in Indy there were times when I would drive around by myself and listen to CDs and sing along, this way I wasn't bugging anyone. It has to be the fact that I don't have any friends out here. Not that I'm doing a whole lot to help that situation. I'm trying to follow Lee's advice and not curl up in a bubble and be a recluse. I hope it'll be different when I get my own place. If I go out and start making friends with people I want to be able to drink. Out of respect for my grandparents I refuse to show up to their house drunk EVER!!!!

Well enough opening up myself...for now.

Saturday Night

So my boys back in Indy are playing Poker without me...those retarded b@$tards. Just kidding, I hope Shane schools all you fools...okay joking around again.

Anyways, I've been really bad about writing every couple of days...is this a new surprise for anyone. So work is good, it reminds alot of Castleton Arts. I think the new staff is trying to adjust to me as a manager, hopefully they will soon realize how AWESOME of a manager I can be. Just ask any of my friends.

Soon I'm going to hook up my XBox 360 (yeah I know, since I bought it I have only played a handful of times, well worth the insane amount of money) and actually play some games. I might even take Shane's advice and see if I can use this wireless connection to play online.

Well my RED SOX lost again today, but that's all right, the YANKEES lost too. They are still 1/2 game ahead of them. Keep it up boys...

So I was a little upset with the Patriots again this week. They traded away Bethel Johnson, so they could build up their defensive line. The last thing I thought we needed as a team was another d-lineman. The one thing I thought we DID need was WIDE RECEIVERS!!!! I still believe in our coaches.

As far as sports goes...my EASTSIDERS won the ISSA championship. Go team, it's your birthday...
I'm just sad that I wasn't there to play in it. You know I set up my last day in Indy to be after the championship game, then they had to move it for a couple of different things. Oh well, here's a couple of different pics I have of them:

Well that's it for now....

There were so many people there that mattered to me. I got some presents from some of them too. I got this book that a lot of people signed and left personal messages for me.

I got into Bedford yesterday and hung out with the grandparents. Then I found a Starbucks the next town over so I could get online. Then I turned on the laptop at home and had a wireless signal! Don't know where it's coming from but I don't care. So I decided I will try to write a new entry every couple of days. I know I've said this before, but I have NO friends out here and NO school to keep me busy so I should have lots of free time. Speaking of free time, I went and saw OVER THE HEDGE tonight. Good movie, I laughed out loud twice and it was just a mother, her son, and me in there. It takes a lot for me to laugh when I don't know anyone. I keep thinking of how much Justin(Rachel) and I would have laughed thru the whole film.

Speaking of films...a bunch of friends in Indy and Letha are watching THE BREAK UP tonight. This is so weird being at a house on a Thursday night with nothing to do. I am usually running the changeover at whatever theatre I'm working at. But I have Union here that run my booth and Howie (my new General Manager) is trying to ease me in to the new theatre. Now, as far as work goes...I was sent home a hour and a half early today. But the real shocker (especially if you really know me)...I was half an hour early today. Got to make a good impression.

Well that's enough for now, I'll try to write again before I go to New York on Monday. My girl is giving me her extra ticket to the RED SOX/YANKEES game on Tuesday.

So untill next time...

Fun Weekend!

So Friday started the same, work a double. Which is a long day but it is really worth it to get Saturday off.

On Saturday I finally cashed the check from AMC (Did they take long enough?), then I hung out with my brother for a couple of hours. We went and looked at motorcycles, he rides and I want to eventually. He missed out on the bike he's been wanting, a while, by an hour. He wasn't too happy about this. Then I had to clean my other brother's house (I was house sitting).

We then went to Shane's apartment for a night of games. We played poker with 9 of us. I ended up winning that game. Then we played HALO 2, for a while. I miss having HALO PARTIES. We had six players on three teams. It was insane. Then we thought it would be a good idea to play another poker game, which started at 1am. It didn't finish until 4am, and I had to be at work at 10am. Not that it mattered that much, I lost to Shane. Still...leaving 15 bucks richer than when I went in after covering my brother for two games and paying for most of the pizza, it wasn't that bad of a night.

As far as Sunday goes, I had to work in the morning (to which I was late). After work I had to hurry to the southside for our weekly game (we're not playing next week due to Easter). We played pretty good, not as good as the week before. But we won! I got in the game and held my own. So the EASTSIDERS are now 4-1. I will be missing the last game of the season due to my trip to NYC. I'm sure my team will but it away for me. Then I went to my brother's house to play some HALO 2 on XBox Live. We got our asses handed to us, it was pathetic. I haven't played online for three weeks or so. We'll see what happens when I get back in the swing of things.

Now is one of the most difficult times for me. I have a job offer in Boston, that I turned down, then my brother is going to turn down(better job offer from our uncles), and I'm reconsidering. But I made up my mind, if my brother is going then I will be going as well. We'll see how the next couple of weeks play out...I'll keep you posted.

Till next week...

What's New Pussycat! Woah,woah,woah...

So I've been busy the last couple of weeks. On top of that it's only going to get worst. I have finals in three weeks, a film festival to get ready for(work related-not GemInI related(unfortunetly)), but then I'm off to New York for a week of fun with Letha(she's sexy by the way...don't believe me? Check out my myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/jasonlmaier to judge for yourself. She's my number one friend.) It's gonna be bangin' yo! Wez goin' to TWO RedSox games, Phantom OF the Opera, and I'm gonna see WICKED again!!! What the hell happened to me there, sorry my alter-ego mad ballin-skillz side of me came out.

Last night my team, The Eastsiders, tore up the other team. It was nasty. The score at half time was forty something to 19...let me repeat that 19!

It was a good time for all that were there...for us. But props to the other team for playing the game with the same intensity for all 40 minutes.

So CRAZY ABOUT YOU is almost done, well the rough cut will be done soon. I'm hoping before I leave for New York. On top of that my Patriots aren't doing to well according to...well everyone, including me. I mean we've picked up two players, neither of them any good, and let loose the most ice cold kicker, the ALL time leading sack getter in the playoffs, and a pretty good receiver. Oh well, it is offically baseball season (after last night's game). I'll just hope our pitchers can stay healthy and win us another World Series. Just as long as it doesn't go to the Yankees I'll be fine. Back to the Patriots, I guess I should have faith. They did win three Super Bowls in 5 years. Pretty good track record as far as I'm concerned.

Well, more to come later...hopefully a lot faster next time. I tried to post blogs a couple of different times and it's just LOST them. Not something I'm happy about, but hey it's a free service.

Until next time...

Stuff happening all over the place.

Well let's see what's happened since I last posted a blog? (Sorry for not putting one up every week.)

My parents had their 35th anniversary. Wow, 35 years with the same person. I hope that one day I could meet a woman I would be happily married to for 35 years.

I spent 36 amazing hours with the woman I'm seeing right now(she lives in New York). Although I wasn't the main reason she came back in to town, I was happy just to see her.

I am really close to finishing tapes for CRAZY ABOUT YOU. I am starting on the rough cut of the film. I hope I can fly through it faster than watching tapes.

Willie McGinest got released and has since signed with THE BROWNS? David Givens is a Titan, who knows what'll happen to Vinatieri? I'm not sure what the Patriots are doing with the team, but I hope they go and get SOMEONE in the off-season. They have let so many players go or sign with other teams and done nothing except some wideout from the Chargers. But one must have faith in an organization that delivered 3 Super Bowls in 4 years.

Lots of stuff going on right now. I have just been informed that we are closing the doors on GemInI Films as we know it. It will be relaunched as GemInI Entertainment Corporation. Not exactly sure what that means, but I'm sure I'll find out soon enough. My only goal is to finish up CRAZY ABOUT YOU, for all the people that have worked so hard on it.

Been offered a promotion at work. Turned it down, recommended my brother, then have been thinking, "Did I make the right choice?" We'll see how it all unfolds.

Looking forward to a lot of things this year. As I have mentioned in previous postings. But watching the latest X-Men 3 trailer has gotten me even more excited than before. It looks like Mr. Ratner has delivered on a kick @$$ movie. Although, looks can be deceiving, look at Episode III.

What the "F"

You know whe I go to sleep for the night unless something weird happens, I can sleep until my alarm clock goes off.

Not today, for some reason I couldn't sleep past
4 AM!

Well there's good news that comes with my faulty sleeping...

I started the editing process on CRAZY ABOUT YOU. The first scene is cut together for the first rough cut. Little by little I'm making progress. Well that's it on that subject.

I went to rehearsal for my old choir last night (Before you start ripping me, a friend of mine is the choreographer and it's the field that I'm in school for!). They were very impressive vocally. Their focus caused them to screw up Katy's dancing, but it is the week before their first competition and that tends to be "hell week" for showchoirs. I'm sure they'll pull it together before Saturday.

Go CENTRAL SOUND!!!!!!!!!

Well I have a FINITE MATH test later today so I'm gonna go. So much for posting a blog more often, oh well.

Till next time.

Closer?

Here we are getting ready for another GemInI Films project. Some of the hardest work is coming for us as a company. I still have plenty of work to do on editing CRAZY ABOUT YOU. This week I have been trying to concentrate on school(lots of quizes and tests).

Now,

These are the things I am most looking forward to this year:

My trip to New York to see the Yankees get their ass kicked by the Red Sox.

My trip to Las Vegas to give a great bachelor party to Zach Proctor.

My trip to Boston to visit my family.

The premiere of CRAZY ABOUT YOU.

X-Men 3: The Last Stand.

Date Movie.

So I am looking forward to a lot this year. I will hope to leave more blogs soon. But as this is being written I am suppose to be a part of a film meeting, so I am gonna go for now.

WOW...what a weekend!

If you watched the NFL Playoffs this weekend you'll understand the title.

The Patriots dominated that game, but thanks to them not protecting the football, turned it over 5 times!!!!! 5 TIMES!

You can't win, if you can't protect the ball.

On the other note, congratualtions to the STEELERS. I don't see anyone being able to stop the Steelers, but then again I thought the Patriots were going to play Indianapolis next week. Maybe I don't know as much as I thought. The ending of the Pittsburgh and Indy was really exciting. I really thought I was going to the AFC Championship next week. I was still excited to be going to see Denver vs. Indy, but now I get a refund. Next weekend is going to be a lot of fun for another reason.

And now for my last thought about the NFL season:

WHAT THE HELL WAS WRONG WITH THE OFFICALS! They messed up so many calls in the two games I watched, I can't even imagine what happened in the others. Maybe the NFL can work on that for next season.

School is going well, and work is slowing down a little bit, so I'm starting to get enough time to be able to do more editing on CRAZY ABOUT YOU.

Go PATS!!!!!!!!

Now I'm excited!

After the good game played on Saturday night against the Jaguars how could I complain.
(see picture above)

Not expecting anything out of the Patriots when they were such an injury depleated team at the beginning of the season was the right move. As a fan I was still hoping for a third Super Bowl in four years. As a (sometimes) logical person I couldn't be mad when our team was soooooo hurt by injuries. But that just shows how GREAT the coaching staff is.

Most teams prepare for injuries, but six defensive backs on the IR. Losing the two top tacklers from last year's remarkable team. Losing one of our longest playing offensive linemen.

So for me I am sitting back and trying to not get too emotionally attached to this team. But if you really know me than you can see right through that bulls---!

I made up my mind today, IF the Colts and Patriots DO play each other in the AFC Championship at the Dome, I'm going to be there rooting for my boys.

On a different note altogether...

School started up again today. An 8:30 class on a Monday morning? What was I thinking? Oh well, whatever it takes to get me to my degree.

That's enough ranting for now.

Till next time, stayed tuned, same bat website, same bat blog...

Great beginning to an AWESOME (I hope) year.

So I have been really happy since New Year's Eve. There's one main reason, but I have just remembered how lucky some of us really are. The fact that I get paid to sit on my ass at work for hours (sometimes really boring), the fact that Shane and I are throwing some really kick ass ideas off of each other, and the fact that I will be enjoying one HELL of a Chrismas present in May(hopefully).

So tomorrow is a big day for anyone who's interested in football. The Patriots of New England play the Jaguars of Jacksonville and the Redskins of Washington play the Buccaneers of Tampa Bay. (Don't ask why I am typing like this, even I don't know why.) Can't wait to see the outcome of the first game I mentioned.

Well I'm almost done....

My New Year's resolution? Have fun with as many friends as possible as often as possible without jeopardizing my grades this year. Well let's keep our fingers crossed that the Patriots can win another Super Bowl this year? (Hee, hee, hee!)
